Vampires have worked for centuries to gain the trust of the mortal humans. To make them all believe vampires are only things of their nightmares. For some, this was a hunting technique. For some, it was a cruel joke and a way to watch the hopeless air-breathers make fools of themselves, running around with garlic and crucifixes. For others, it was about living in peace. About not wanting to lose the life they once had even though their lives had in a sense come to a halt. Not all vampires are brutal, murderous monsters. You’d be surprised by just how human they can be.
The werewolves have come to coexist with the vampires, too. It took a few centuries, but the Age of Peace is in its prime.
Or so they all thought. With mysterious murders (or seemingly mysterious) of humans in France being reported internationally, it is now clear to the vampires of Forks and even the werewolves in La Push that there is a rogue group of vampires behind the murders. And where there are mass murders going on, there are sure to be Newborns.
Little do they know, it's the Romanian coven. Stefan and Vladminir want their power back and are seeking to outdo the Volturi. Debunk them and discredit them entirely.
It's been ten years since the showdown in the meadow between the Cullens with their allies against the Volturi. Now, the Cullen family (and other covens) are being called on for some assistance. One knows the going is tough when the Volturi is calling in a favor, and the Quileute werewolves have been asked for a hand as well. Reluctantly, the Alphas granted their request; solely for their allies, the Cullen family.
A formidable team Stefan and Vladimir hadn't counted on. Will the uprising in France be crushed, or will the Romanian coven soar to power again?
